If you’re looking for an amazing wedding weekend venue or a family-friendly resort in the desert, look no further than the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa. This Phoenix golf resort features spacious rooms with full kitchens, a beautiful and challenging golf course, a large fitness center, and even a water park. The entire property is super Instagram worthy with picturesque spots scattered everywhere you turn. So basically, it’s very pretty. You’re gonna love it.
Just 7 miles from the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa is a lovely green getaway right in the middle of the city of Phoenix. With a mountain-filled backdrop, rows of tall palm trees and tons of green grass (thanks to the par 71 golf course), your eyes and your smartphone are going to LOVE the views.
Weddings are a big deal there, and one happened to be happening the very weekend Sights & Sips was there. The ceremony was taking place on Island Green, which actually consists of the putting green and a tee box for the golf course. Guests walk out to the island on a small bridge and are seated in wedding white chairs where they watch the ceremony in front of a waterfall backdrop. It’s the perfect combination of beautiful and relaxed with dry desert weather and buildings that help block the sun after it starts to set. Plus, wedding guests and families have great accommodation options. The villas feature full kitchens, large bathrooms, living rooms and dining areas. No wonder it’s a top wedding venue choice in Phoenix. Not only do they create beautiful events, but there is also everything your wedding guests could possibly want all on this one property.
Now, y’all know we love luxury here at Sights And Sips. And although the Arizona Grand wouldn’t be what we consider a 5-Star hotel, it sure is a strong 4. With two restaurants, a coffee shop, a huge fitness center, a spa, a golf course and a water park, it certainly qualifies as “luxury” in the family travel category.
Don’t miss: Aunt Chilada’s, the Mexican Food Restaurant sitting at the front of the hotel property is a short stroll or very quick golf cart ride away from your room. You’re gonna love the pitchers of margaritas and the fresh guacamole. Plus, the colorful patio area is so festive that you might just start to feel like you’re in Cabo instead of Arizona.
