I love a beautiful, clean hotel room with cozy robes, a comfy bed and a great view. On a recent weekend getaway to Vegas with my husband, I got all of that and much more during our first stay at Wynn Las Vegas.
We both absolutely love Las Vegas. This was actually our 11th trip to Sin City. But of all of those visits we had only been to Wynn one time for dinner at SW Steakhouse back in 2006 (it was fabulous, by the way). So it was high time that we spent more time at this awesome, golden hotel on The Strip.
I have LOTS to tell you about Wynn Las Vegas. But let’s first start with the room. Max checked us in at the front desk, was super nice and helpful, and basically made us feel extremely welcome and valued. Great start. Our room, a Wynn Deluxe Panoramic, was on floor 52, which like other higher floors, has huge floor-to-ceiling windows with amazing views of The Strip.
The entire room was light and bright, very clean (#1 priority for me), had no scent (#2 priority for me) and was quite large with plenty of room to walk about. I also appreciated that there were multiple seating options – sofa, table and chairs and desk chair. Room service breakfast at that table and chairs with that amazing view was HEAVEN. (On a budget? Room service tip: For breakfast we ordered 1 meal to share, added extra toast and an extra drink. Plenty of food and delicious!)
I’m a gal that appreciates details in a hotel. I loved the customized screen with my name on the television, the TV in the wall in the bathroom, the bathrobes, the closet and even the wallpaper. And I can’t forget about the huge mirror in the entry way – loved it!
And now, ladies and gentleman, the bathroom. As I mentioned before, the hotel room being sparkling clean is my #1 priority. And that especially goes for the bathroom. I can’t handle a hair in the sink or bath tub. Can’t. Handle. It. This bathroom was, like the room itself, light and bright, and well as beautiful and CLEAN with all of the amenities you need. The tub was big enough for my 6’3″ husband to sit in comfortably. The shower was spacious with a bench – score! There were double sinks, plenty of counter space and a separate water closet. Plus, it was big. We never felt cramped or crowded in the bathroom or the room.
One of the coolest special features of the room were the window treatments and lighting. The drapes opened and closed with a push of a button. And the same goes for the lighting – you could push a button to turn all lights on or off, or you could operate the lights individually. SO convenient. Automatic window treatments in a hotel room with a view like this are essential. Just before we fell asleep we could close the drapes from the bed. And just after waking up we could open them from bed. Perfect.
I’ll be sharing much more with you about our stay at Wynn in an upcoming blog post soon. As for the room, my husband and I both genuinely loved it and highly recommend it for your next trip to Las Vegas.
